Inviting instructors to deliver a session is a great way to have a more professional session. This article will guide you on the steps you'll need to complete before bringing an instructor to your sessions. Before completing this process, we highly encourage you to read through this guide.
1. Registration
The first step to get your instructors ready to go is completing our Instructors Registration Form. This form must be completed by both committee members and the instructor. As part of your registration process, you'll also need to read and sign the Instructor Code of Conduct - you can find the Code of Conduct attached to this article. This document must be signed by both the committee and the Instructor.
a. Committee
You'll need to give us information about your Instructor, including any agreed rates per session (if you're paying your instructor) and when the sessions will take place. Please also provide information on the kind of activities you're expecting your Instructor to deliver.
You will also need to submit the signed Code of Conduct.
b. Instructor
You'll need to provide us with details on your instructor credentials and any documents to serve as evidence of this. Please note, as part of your Agreement, you must have a valid Public Liability Insurance policy. If you expect to receive payment for your services, you must have a valid UTR Number.
If you're currently a student, please keep the following information in mind:
- Current students who wish to be an instructor for a session must have a valid membership for the group.
- International students who wish to be an instructor may only deliver these sessions voluntarily. Due to Government regulations, RSU will not be able to compensate you monetarily for the sessions you deliver - please keep this in mind before going through this process. If you have any questions on this, please get in touch with us.
2. Agreement
Once we receive the registration forms, we will be able to generate your group with a Service Agreement. This document will outline the details of the services provided by the Instructor, including session dates and agreed rates (if any). By signing the Instructor Agreement, you agree to follow the Code of Conduct. Failure to comply with the Code of Conduct may result in immediate dismissal.
When the Agreement is ready, we will send it to both the Committee and the Instructor to review and sign. Once signed, please send it back to us, so we can mark the Instructor as officially registered. After this, your instructor will be ready to go!
