We are excited to announce our end of year By-elections for the 2026/27 academic year. The goal of this process is to give your group a final chance to secure a leadership team for next year. Whether your group is missing one future committee member, or the whole leadership team, the By-Elections will be your last and only chance to secure a committee.

How do I nominate myself for a committee role?
You’ll be able to submit your nomination through our dedicated By-Elections website, which you can find here.
Important: To run for a position or vote, you must have purchased a standard membership to your group; this also applies to current committee members. To run for a role, you must also be a student during the 2026/27 academic year and remain a student up to 30 June 2027.
I’m not going to be a student next year; can I still participate?
Whilst you won’t be able to run for a committee role, you will still be able to participate by voting for your favourite candidate(s)!
Running for a role: what’s expected?
Please keep in mind that elected committee members will need to attend a mandatory in-person training, which is set to take place on the first week of June. More details about this training will be shared with you as needed.
Dormancy
It’s important to be aware that if no one runs for any of the three core committee roles, President, Secretary, and Treasurer, your student group will go dormant. This means the group will not be able to operate during the 2026/27 academic year.
To keep your group active, we strongly encourage members to consider standing for these key positions.
