Borrow RSU Equipment

To borrow equipment from us, please submit an Equipment Hire Request through the Student Group Form. Please note, we'll only be able to facilitate a pick-up/drop-off times during term time and around our Helpdesk's opening times.

We have an assortment of different equipment and materials that you can borrow from us for your events. The best thing to do if you need any sort of material or equipment is to ask us. Most of the time, we'll be able to provide you the equipment you need. In the case where we don't have what you need, we'll guide you on different alternatives on how to get this, e.g. requesting this directly to the University.

Equipment for Monte Hall requires specialised training. If you'd like to host a large event in Monte Hall where this equipment is required, please let us know so we can book this for you. Please note, only committee members who have received this training will be able to operate the equipment.

Here's how it works:

1. Submit the form: Let us know what equipment you need, what for, and when you want to borrow this. You will also need to let us know your preferred pick-up and drop-off times - however, please note we may need to change this based on our Helpdesk opening times.
Please note, to be able to borrow equipment, you need to have an event approved or in the process of being approved. Please make sure your risk assessment covers the use of the equipment you're wishing to borrow.

2. Get confirmation: Your confirmation email will contain the details of the equipment you're borrowing. It will also outline the pick-up and drop-off times - if you need to change either, please let us know and we'll try our best to accommodate this for you.

Terms & Conditions:

  • Equipment must be collected and returned on the time and date agreed upon by Roehampton Students’ Union.
  • Failure to return the equipment on the date and time agreed upon by Roehampton Students’ Union will result in disciplinary action and a financial fine as determined by the Senior Leadership Team at Roehampton Students’ Union.
  • Any equipment borrowed must be returned in the condition it was loaned and any damage to the equipment must be reported immediately to Roehampton Students’ Union.
  • Any equipment borrowed from Roehampton Students’ Union must not altered, changed or modified in any way.
